VillageWorks is the creative studio behind The Roaming Yeti and Pop Culture Passport. Founded more than 25 years ago by Beth Schillaci, VillageWorks has always helped businesses and organizations tell their stories.
What began in the early days of the web has evolved alongside the way people communicate, from websites and digital marketing to social media, podcasting, and audio storytelling. Through it all, the goal has remained remarkably consistent: finding the right story, the right medium, and the right way to connect with the people who will care.
Today, VillageWorks brings that experience to travel media and place-based storytelling, creating original media and helping destinations and organizations find meaningful ways to connect people with places.

About Beth Schillaci
Beth Schillaci is the founder of VillageWorks, creator of The Roaming Yeti, and host of Pop Culture Passport. For more than 25 years, she has worked at the intersection of communication, technology, and storytelling—helping businesses and organizations find meaningful ways to connect with their audiences.
Long before podcasting became part of her work, Beth was helping organizations navigate another rapidly changing medium: social media. She is the author of Your Social Media Roadmap and has spoken to businesses, tourism organizations, and professional groups about using emerging media strategically rather than simply chasing the latest tool.
Today, Beth brings that same strategy-first approach to travel media, podcasting, and place-based storytelling. Her work explores how stories, pop culture, and the interests people already have can create stronger connections with destinations and experiences.
When she’s not researching quirky destinations or disappearing down a rabbit hole about why a roadside attraction exists, Beth can usually be found planning a road trip with far too many stops, hunting down a great regional snack, or convincing her family that something is absolutely worth the side quest. She believes travel doesn’t have to be epic to be memorable—sometimes the best stories are waiting just a few miles off your original route.
